Diesel engines are not popular in America, and it’s because of the mess that was created when Oldsmobile tried to utilize them back during GM’70s. They only lasted for a short while before they went bad due how much pressure was put on these motors which were never meant for such intense workloads; this lead many people away from any kind fuel-efficient cars or trucks towards something with more power under its hood (or at least quieter).

The 2001 introduction by Isuzu restarted interest again though – since then we’ve seen plenty come out like Duramax diesels found within Chevy Silverado 1500/GMC Sierra 15000 models today!
